Hi, this is Daniel from ForgivenFully.com, sharing with you the exclamation point of God’s forgiveness.
How would you react if you turned on the TV today and saw a commercial that announced, ‘Sunday…at the Sun Bowl…GOD WILL SPEAK’? Well, you’d probably be skeptical, and rightfully so. But what if you really truly believed that God was going to make an appearance at the Sun Bowl and speak to everyone in attendance? You would probably do anything and everything possible to get your ticket and be there, right? ‘God’s going to speak? I have to hear what He says! Wow! I’ve got to be there!’
Well, that’s not going to happen. But even more importantly, you don’t have to wait for something like that to happen. This [the Bible] is your front row ticket right here! God speaks, right here, right now, today [to you!], through His Word, the Bible. That means you don’t have to wait and wonder what God might say; that means you don’t have to guess what’s on God’s heart; and that means that you don’t have to live with question marks about where you stand with Him. For these are “the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed.” (II Timothy 3:15,16) This is the breath of God, the voice of God, and more than anything else, God wants you to know that you have salvation through Jesus, rescue from your sins and from hell, all through faith in Jesus.
Sometimes people dismiss the Bible because they say it’s too hard to understand. But is there anything unclear about this proclamation? “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Does that leave you with any doubts, with any question marks at all about where you stand with God? Martin Luther once said, ‘I am glad that this passage says “God so loved the world;” because if it had said “God so loved Martin Luther,” I would be convinced that God was surely talking about some other Martin Luther, for who am I that God would love me?’ ...But it says, “God so loved the world”! That doesn’t leave you with any question marks, does it? That is the certainty, the confidence, the exclamation point of God’s forgiveness. Through Jesus, the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you; believe in Him and rejoice in that gift of eternal life.
Thank you for your time, and may God bless you with what you heard here today at ForgivenFully.com.
