Hi, this is Daniel from ForgivenFully.com, sharing with you the exclamation point of God’s forgiveness.
What is it about life that wears you down the most?
What wearies you?
What burdens you?
Is it the endless routine of life, always doing, but never getting done?
Is it the futile chase of trying to take control of your life?
Is it the frustration of failed intentions?
Is it the fallout of broken promises?
Is it a past which haunts you?
Is it a present which worries you?
Is it a future which frightens you?
Is it…a guilty conscience?
Behind it all is sin, which makes this life not what God meant it to be.
Behind it all is sin, which makes US not what God wants us to be.
Behind it all is sin, which makes us fit for judgment.
But hear the good news: God gives rest!
Jesus invites us, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) With that little word “all,” Jesus’ invitation jumps out of history, jumps off the pages of the Bible, spans 2,000 years, and comes to you, here, today. Jesus gives you the rest that you need the most. This rest is called forgiveness. And it is a rest that puts into perspective all the other wearies and burdens of life.
Forgiveness means that you have
a pardoned past,
a peaceful present,
and a forever future.
Forgiveness means your God is with you to lead you through this life and on to heaven, that final rest from everything that wearies us. This is what it means to be forgiven fully in Jesus; this is the confidence and certainty that comes with the exclamation point of God’s forgiveness!
Thank you for your time, and may God bless you with what you heard here today at ForgivenFully.com.
